Take Back the Night Oct. 18

Join us tomorrow for the Care Center’s Take Back the Night event!

Take Back the Night is a movement aimed at raising awareness for sexual and domestic violence. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we’re embracing the theme of reclaiming the night and creating safe spaces for all, particularly for those experiencing multiple forms of violence or belonging to marginalized groups due to gender, sexuality, race, or involvement in sex work.

Save the date for Friday, Oct. 18, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in front of CHB’s (Carol C. Harter Classroom Building) main walkway.

Our keynote speaker, Lynn Comella, is a professor and chair of gender and sexuality studies at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. Her research explores the cultural and economic organization of the adult entertainment industry. Comella has contributed to major media and received several academic awards.
