Alona Angosta
Alona Angosta, PhD, APRN, FNP-C, FAAN, '94 BSN and '00 MSN, is a Rebel forever. She is an Emeritus faculty at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's School of Nursing. She was the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Outstanding Alumni of the Year in 2020. Currently, Angosta is a professor and associate dean for research and scholarship at Baylor University, Louis Herrington School of Nursing in Texas. She is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and continues to be actively engaged with 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ fellow alumni, former students, research, and academic colleagues.

Carmen Buck
Carmen Bull Buck, '79 AA Nursing, '86 BS Nursing, '96 MSN Nursing, earned a post-master's certificate as a family nurse practitioner in 2000 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Today she is a portrait, lifestyle, and humanitarian photographer capturing love, light, and compassion in every situation. During her 40-year nursing career, she worked with thousands of people seeking meaning and connection during challenging times. Healing and connection through storytelling and photography are her passions. Her latest book, Just See Me — Sacred Stories from the Other Side of Dementia, will be released next year. She is an international speaker and author teaching both live events and webinars on the topics of spirituality and photography. She creates legacies for people of all ages in the Austin, Texas, area and beyond. Her hobbies include hiking, traveling, and playing with her four dogs. She lives in Round Rock.

Carmella Gabrielle Bugay, '17 BS Health Care Administration, is taking classes at Nevada State and plans to pursue a career in nursing. She is the daughter of Maria Donnalin Bugay Maliwat, '98 BS Hotel Administration, and the sister of Anthony Emmanuel Bugay, a freshman nursing major at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.

Darin Prescott, '15 DNP, is the CEO of the new Lower Sioux Health Care Center, an entity of the Lower Sioux Indian Community located in southwest Minnesota. This was
the tribe's first medical clinic ever. He is an enrolled member of the Lower Sioux Indian Community. He lives in Morton.

Judith Perry, ’05 MS Nursing, has been a hospice and palliative nurse practitioner for a large health care system since 2008. She developed the position herself. She lives in Boise, Idaho.

Ann Occhi, ’76 AA Nursing, ’79 BS Nursing, ’92 MS Nursing, works as a supervisor for school nurses. She earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Phoenix. She was a foster parent for eight medically fragile children and adopted five children. Her hobbies are biking, camping, and being part of a women’s dragon boat team. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
