What and What Not to Bring
Bring
- Yourself, ready to enjoy your event
- Bottles of water, diaper bags (subject to inspection), medical bags (subject to inspection), strollers (which must be left in the lobby; please note some events restrict children’s attendance)
Do Not Bring
- Bags Larger than 12” x 6” x 12”
- We may require larger bags to be returned to vehicles. All bags are subject to inspection. If bags larger than this are allowed into our venues, we may require that they are checked in the lobby with the house staff.
- Flowers, Balloons, or Gifts (including leis)
- We have nowhere to store these items in the lobby during many large events; in an emergency, items like this left in the seating area may become trip hazards. We will require these items to be returned to vehicles.
- Food or Drink Purchased Elsewhere
- We only allow patrons to bring bottled water into the venue; we do not allow food or drink (including snacks for young children) purchased elsewhere into our venues.
- Other Prohibited Items
- Please review our Patron Code of Conduct for a full list of prohibited items, including signs or banners, glass bottles, cans, squirt bottles, or other containers, firearms or knives (with or without sheath), horns, air horns, whistles, other irregular sound devices, bars, sticks, clubs, poles of 20” length, sling shots, fish nets or other net material, beach balls, Frisbees, skateboards, roller skates, or any object which may obstruct other guests’ vision.
Event Etiquette
We strive to make everyone’s experience at our events enjoyable. Help us by doing your part to be mindful of others by following the directions of facility personnel and refraining from the following:
- Talking, whispering, or singing along.
- Using electronic devices (cell phones, tablets, etc.) or taking photographs or videos unless specifically permitted.
- Eating or unwrapping candy.
- Using excessive perfume or cologne.
- Obstructing the view of your fellow guests by being aware that people may be behind you.
- Exiting your seat at any time other than between pieces or during applause.

Parking for patrons with disabilities is available in all of our parking lots including on every floor of the Cottage Grove Parking Garage.You must pay for parking through the PayByPhone app (Location #s: Parking Garage - 29502, Lot B - 29503) when you park in an ADA accessible parking spot during the following times and days:
- Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays
- Between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Fridays
All of our venues have wheelchair seating locations. Wheelchair spaces generally require that a patron be seated in their wheelchair. If a patron has difficulty ascending or descending stairs, we can provide seating options that do not require it. When you purchase your tickets and when you arrive at the venue, please advise us if you require any type of special seating accommodation for any reason. The 51ԹϺ PAC box office and usher staff members are trained to assist you in finding seating that best meets your individual needs.
This policy is pursuant to the outlined by the U.S. Department of Justice. We generally reserve wheelchair seats along with three companion seats.
- If an event is general admission (whether ticketed or not), accessible seats are generally held until the beginning of the event, but may be subject to release earlier if a seating section fills up rapidly.
- For events with reserved seating, we may release seats when all non-accessible seats in a particular seating section or price category have been sold.

- Judy Bayley Theatre
- Alta Ham Fine Arts Building (Black Box Theatre, Dance Studio One, Paul Harris Theatre)
- Lee & Thomas Beam Music Center (Dr. Arturo Rando-Grillot Recital Hall)
All-gender/family restrooms are available in the following venues:

We can arrange American Sign Language interpretation on behalf of our patrons. To provide this service, we require a minimum of 72-business-hours advance notice.
Please note: For the purposes of requesting interpretation, business hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Assistive listening devices are available for all performances in the Judy Bayley Theatre and the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. These devices are provided free of charge; simply exchange your valid driver license (or state-issued ID) for the unit upon arrival, and return the unit after the performance to reclaim your ID. See a house manager or usher to request a device.

The 51ԹϺ Performing Arts Center complies with the . Service animals are any breed and any size of dog that is trained to perform a task related to a patron's disability. House managers or ushers will ask these questions:
