Biography
Cameron Coleman, Ed.D. is an assistant professor in Residence in the Department of Teaching and Learning at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. Before joining 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, she served in numerous roles in public, charter, and independent K-8 schools including middle school math teacher, mentor teacher, master teacher, curriculum lead, and diversity council chair. Inspired by her own learning from and enjoyment of educational media, Cameron completed her Ed.D at Loyola Marymount University in 2020, dissertating the responses of African-American children and their parents to video samples of culturally concordant educational media. Her research interest focuses on the creation and impact of educational media which is culturally concordant toward and revitalizing for ethnic minorities.
