Biography
Catherine Baker is 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s employee relations director in the Office of Human Resources. She has more than 20 years of comprehensive human resources experience in the hospitality industry. She previously worked at Station Casinos in various roles, including interim human resources director, as well as at The Venetian as a team member relations junior representative and human resources events coordinator.
Her 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ journey began in October 2022 when she joined the Office of Human Resources as a senior employee relations specialist. Quickly earning recognition for her expertise, Catherine was appointed interim employee relations director in June 2023. Her exceptional leadership and strategic partnership with managers and senior leaders have produced noteworthy accomplishments, including launching the RebelPerform employee evaluation platform and working to establish a performance management culture.
She expertly analyzes, interprets, and applies state, university, and collective bargaining agreement (CBA) provisions, a skill set that has been instrumental in ensuring compliance and nurturing a positive work environment.

Advising administrators, managers, and supervisors on complex human resources issues with empathy and fairness, she will continue to foster a culture of respect, collaboration, equity, and inclusion as she oversees department investigations and employee relations functions with integrity and transparency.
