Charles Stanton
Biography
Charles Stanton is a graduate of New York University, New York Law School. He was admitted to the NY State Bar in 1983, and he worked for the Unified Court System of NY State from 1985 to 2010. From 2007 to 2017 he was lecturer in residence at the Loews Landmark Theater in Jersey City, New Jersey. From 2015 to 2017 he taught film appreciation at Marist High School in Bayonne, New Jersey. In 2018 and 2019, he taught cinema at Cathedral High School in New York City. In the fall of 2020, he taught a course on the depiction of social justice through the art of film at the 51ԹϺ Honors College.
Charles is also the co-host of “Social Justice: A Conversation,” which airs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays. The program features coverage and opinions on hot-button social topics in hopes of fostering meaningful dialogues around tough issues. The program offers informed analysis on social problems from an inclusive, yet fact-based lens.
