Biography
Dan Bubb received his M.A. in history from 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, and his interdisciplinary Ph.D. in history and political science from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is a former airline pilot who has published articles on commercial aviation and airport history in the American west. In 2012, he published his first book, Landing in Las Vegas: Commercial Aviation and the Making of a Tourist City (University of Nevada Press). Currently, Dan is researching and writing a second book that examines the role airlines and airports play in connecting western American cities with the world. He is a faculty in residence, assistant professor, and coordinator of academic affairs in the Honors College at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
