Biography

David Di John, MD, professor and section chief for pediatric infectious diseases in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Department of Pediatrics, earned his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. After receiving his pediatric residency training at North Shore University Hospital-Cornell University Medical College in Manhasset, New York, he completed a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland.

Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases, Dr. Di John came to Las Vegas in 2014 from New York, where he ran a pediatric HIV/AIDS program for 16 years and amassed over 25 years of experience in pediatric infectious diseases. He is now the medical director of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Health Maternal-Child Wellness Program, an HRSA-funded center that oversees the care of women, infants, children, and youth infected with, or exposed to, HIV.

Dr. Di John has expertise in vaccinations, HIV/AIDS, tropical medicine, and a wide variety of infectious disease problems in children. At the Kerkorian School of Medicine and affiliate hospitals, Dr. Di John provides clinical care, engages in clinical research, and teaches and mentors resident physicians and medical students.
