Lead Peer Mentor of the Warrior Queen Project: A Women's Empowerment Program
Biography
Emilia Dang serves as the lead peer mentor for the Warrior Queen Project: A Women's Empowerment Program for the Spring 2025 semester and forward. She is a junior at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ dual-majoring in Gender and Sexuality Studies and General Science. She was born and raised in Las Vegas with a specific interest in providing equitable and advanced women's healthcare to her community.
During Emilia's time at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, she has been a First Year Seminar Peer Mentor for the College of Liberal Arts, Neon Pacific Initiative Intern, and an Office of Undergraduate Research Undergraduate Research Fellowship Recipient. As the current lead peer mentor for the Warrior Queen Project: A Women's Empowerment Program, she aims to support women identifying students in gaining confidence, learning life and higher education skills, and achieving networking opportunities. The Women's Empowerment Program has been running since Fall of 2022 and has had great success at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
After graduation, Emilia hopes to apply to medical school and provide an intersectional perspective on healthcare. Emilia's core values involve uplifting other motivated students, especially those within marginalized communities. She has enjoyed her journey at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ thus far and looks forward to new experiences, connections, and opportunities.
