Emmanuel Ayim, Ph.D

Biography
Associate professor-in-residence Emmanuel Ayim joined the Kinesiology and Nutrition Science Department during the fall of 2016 and teaches first year seminars, legal aspects of physical activity and other assignments in the department within the undergraduate programs.
Ayim’s research interests are in identity development, student success, youth sports, and coaching.
Ayim earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Dayton, master’s degree in sports administration from Grambling State University, and doctor of philosophy in sports education and leadership from 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
Ayim is active in the community as an A-licensed youth soccer coach for Henderson United Youth Soccer, and Heat FC soccer club. He is a former NCAA collegiate soccer player and US Soccer All-American. Ayim is a devoted father of three with his wife, whom he met in class at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ as a doctoral student.
