Biography
Hallie Lyons has nearly 30 years of administrative experience that began with start-up software companies in the early 1990s in Silicon Valley. She has worked for the Institute for Behavioral Healthcare, the RAND Corporation, the University of Puerto Rico, and the National Institutes of Health where she received an Intramural Research Training Award to assist with a behavioral study on rhesus macaques. Hallie relocated to Las Vegas in 2004 and began working at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies as the Project Coordinator for a Transmutation Research Program funded by the Department of Energy. She then transitioned into a more centralized role as Financial Administrator where she managed grants and contracts from cradle to grave, general operating accounts, service and recharge accounts, and was responsible for the center's human resources. Hallie then joined 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's Office of Sponsored Programs where she assisted faculty with proposal development and grant administration. She became a Research Administration Manager and is currently Associate Director of Grants and Contracts where she leads a team of Research Administrators, a Grants Analyst and a Contract Manager. The Grants and Contracts team assist faculty with the administration of their grants and contracts and are the official liaison between the faculty and the sponsors. Hallie received her B.A. in anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a Certified Research Administrator.
