Biography
Lecturer Heidi Shelton D.C., R.T. (R), joined the Radiography program in the fall of 2017 and teaches physics of X-Ray Production, Advanced Techniques in Digital Imaging, Radiographic Pathology and Patient Care. She is also the Clinical Coordinator for the program.
Dr. Shelton studied medical imaging at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and has been a Radiologic Technologist since 2006. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from Texas Chiropractic College. In addition to being an ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist, Dr. Shelton is licensed as a Chiropractic Physician in the state of Nevada and has been practicing since 2011.
Dr. Shelton was associated with the National Honors Society and received Alpha Beta Gamma honors in Radiology. As a graduate student, she held the title of Chief Chiropractic Intern.
Dr. Shelton is a current member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and serves on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Society of Radiologic Technologists. She is also the faculty advisor for the Student Technologist Association in Radiological Sciences at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. Dr. Shelton is an active member of the community and volunteers for the Clark County School District. She also serves as treasurer for the Scoil Rince Ni Riada Booster Club.
