Biography
Jennifer Cornejo, AuD, CCC-A, is a senior audiologist and faculty lecturer in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery.
Dr. Cornejo is certified in audiology and as a hearing aid specialist by the State of Nevada Pathology, Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensing Board. She possesses the certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Cornejo began her audiology career in Miami, Florida. In 1996, she not only completed her audiology fellowship, but went on to become the audiology clinic supervisor and vestibular lab supervisor. Shen then co-founded the bone-anchored hearing aid (BAHA) clinic in 2001. In 2004, Dr. Cornejo moved to Chicago and became the director of audiology at the Ear Institute of Chicago where she continued to offer an extensive array of audiology services. While in Miami and Chicago, she authored and co-authored articles on BAHA and cochlear implants, as well as the audiological aspects of otosclerosis and revision stapedectomy procedures. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and worked as a pediatric audiologist at Nevada Early Intervention Services from 2006 to 2008.
Prior to joining the academic faculty at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, she was full-time faculty with the department of surgery, division of otolaryngology - head & neck surgery at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. As a senior audiologist at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Health, Dr. Cornejo has specialized in providing extensive diagnostic audiology services to all ages from newborns to the aging populations as well as providing hearing habilitation with various types of devices.
