Biography
Kevin Kuruvilla, MD, an assistant professor of surgery at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, serves as medical director of the trauma intensive care unit at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada and as program director of the surgical critical care fellowship at the medical school.
Dr. Kuruvilla earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where he was awarded the H.Gordon Page, MD ‘45 Award for Excellence in Surgery.
He completed his general surgery residency training at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where he was awarded the Michelle Lombardo, MD Memorial Outstanding Resident Physician Award. There, he also received the Brian A. Dorman, MD International Rotation Scholarship which gave him the opportunity to travel to Tenwek Mission Hospital in Bomet, Kenya, to assist patients.
Dr. Kuruvilla completed his fellowship training in surgical critical care and acute care surgery at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
