Biography

Dr. Nadia Gomez is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from the University of Florida, where she received the Presidential Recognition Award for her research, leadership, and community service. She graduated with Clinical Honors from Ponce School of Medicine. She completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where she was appointed to Academic Chief Resident during her last year.

During her residency, Dr. Gomez served as Secretary-Treasurer of the American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG) District III Pennsylvania Region. Dr. Gomez is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and has given several presentations at national and international conferences. She was awarded the “Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award” at her residency graduation ceremony.

After residency, Dr. Gomez completed advanced surgical training in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery (MIGS) and Chronic Pelvic pain at Florida Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Florida. She now leads the Division of MIGS at 51ԹϺ Medicine and focuses her practice on the management of endometriosis, fibroids, menstrual cycle disorders, vulvar disorders, ovarian cysts, and chronic pelvic pain. Since her recruitment, she received the Top Doctor OB/GYN Award from University Medical Center (UMC), APGO Excellence in Teaching Award, and the national Castle Connolly Top Doctor Award.

Dr. Gomez completed her Executive MBA program at the University of Nevada, Reno and was inducted into the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma from the College of Business.

Dr. Gomez has a passion for resident education and research. She has developed an OB/GYN resident curriculum that involves simulation focused on team work, communication skills, and surgical development skills. Outside of work, she is a mentor to high school and undergraduate students pursuing a career in medicine and networking with international colleagues to bring innovation to underprivileged communities.
