Biography
Paulina Altshuler, DO, FACOG, received her bachelor’s degree in molecular toxicology at the University of California, Berkeley, before completing her doctorate of osteopathy at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver and is currently an assistant professor in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Department of Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics.
During medical school, Dr. Altshuler was a member of the Rural and Wilderness Medicine Honors Track, a Predoctoral Anatomy Fellow, and was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi (SSP) Honorary Osteopathic Service Fraternity. In residency, she received the resident awards for maternal fetal medicine, family planning, and urogynecology, and in her final year, she was selected to be an administrative chief resident.
Dr. Altshuler is the department of gynecologic surgery & obstetrics' residency wellness director and education curriculum director, and she is currently pursuing her fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. She is passionate about resident wellness and education and was chosen by the school of medicine's residents to receive the 2024 American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education. She enjoys all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, particularly high-risk pregnancies, contraceptive care, and minimally invasive surgery.
