Rickey N. McCurry

Biography
Rickey is an accomplished advancement professional with a diverse background in development, alumni relations, and higher education administration. As Vice President, he oversees all fundraising and alumni engagement for the university and serves as the President of the 51ԹϺ Foundation.
Rickey came to 51ԹϺ from Northern Arizona University, where he has served as Vice President of Advancement and CEO of the NAU Foundation. He also previously served the University of Tennessee System and The University of Tennessee System Foundation as Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs, President and CEO of the UT Foundation, and Executive Director of the UT Alumni Association (2015-2018). Previous positions also include leadership roles at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (2011-2015), Southern Illinois University Carbondale (2000-2011), and The University of Tennessee (1993-2000), among other institutions.
Rickey holds a juris doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in history from Lane College. He has contributed his time and talent as a presenter, board member, and speaker to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in Districts II, III, V, and VI. He is the recipient of the CASE District V Distinguished Service Award, and in 2009 was named the CASE-Commonfund Foundation CEO of the Year.
