Scotia Hammond is a visiting assistant professor. She is also a board-certified behavior analyst serving children and adolescents primarily with an autism spectrum disorder in the home, school, and clinic settings. Hammond graduated with her Ph.D. in special education from 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. She received her M.Ed. in special education with an emphasis on emotional disturbance and a B.A. in psychology from 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. She focuses on designing trauma-informed school environments that foster student-teacher relationships to promote resiliency among students with emotional and behavioral disorders. Her research interests include emotional and behavioral disorders, mental health, positive behavioral supports, applied behavior analysis, and mixed methods research.
