Biography
Susanna joined Allegiant Travel Company in 2010. In her current role, she oversees the management of Allegiant’s corporate direct and indirect taxes including, but not limited to, Federal, state, and international income taxes; tax provision; air transportation taxes; sales tax; property tax; etc. She began her career at Allegiant as a manager of taxation, soon establishing a team of tax professionals uniquely trained to manage the complexities of a domestic airline whose footprint spans every state in the nation (as well as some international locations) and of a hotel resort developer and operator. She first became interested in tax issues as a student in Professor John Zimmerman’s Federal Taxation class. There were tax consequences in the most obscure stories Professor Zimmerman shared with the class, which inspired her passion for tax. Prior to joining Allegiant, she worked at Ernst & Young and Harrah’s Entertainment (now known as Caesars Entertainment Corporation). Susanna is a member of the Tax Executive Institute and Council on State Taxation. Susanna is a past president and founding member of Tax Executive Institute - Nevada Chapter, and previously served as the treasurer of Susan G. Komen Foundation – Southern Nevada Chapter. Susanna graduated from 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ with a M.S. in accounting (Taxation Track) and from San Francisco State University with a B.S. in cell and molecular biology.
