Biography
Dr. Guo, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's School of Public Health, earned her Ph.D. in an interdisciplinary program at Miami University-Oxford's College of Education, Health, and Society. Before joining 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, she served as a postdoctoral research scholar in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Dedicated to understanding the health and social determinants of alcohol, cannabis and other substance use, Dr. Guo's research focuses on investigating the etiology and prevention of substance misuse and related health-compromising behaviors across diverse samples. Her primary goal is to prevent trauma and substance misuse among children and youth, ensuring their well-being throughout the lifespan. Through her work, she aims to contribute to reducing health disparities related to prevention and advance a more equitable, inclusive, and healthier future for communities.
