About the Dual Enrollment Program
Dual Enrollment offers high school students the opportunity to earn 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ credit while still enrolled in their Nevada high school. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ offers two forms of dual enrollment.

Benefits
- Students are able to earn college credit at a more affordable price.
- Students can simultaneously complete high school courses and get a head start in college foundation and major courses.
- Develop valuable skills by being introduced to college-level courses to prepare them for their future college experiences.
- Access to university resources such as tutoring, advising, and library materials. Some restrictions may apply.
- Prepare high school students for college level course work.
Eligibility
- Students must meet qualifying GPA and ACT/PreACT requirements.
- Recommendation from a high school teacher or counselor.
- Parent/guardian permission.
Student Application
- Students will need to apply to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ as a non-degree seeking student.
- A one-time $30 application fee will be waived. Please notify unlv.dual.enrollment@unlv.edu during application process to remove the application fee.
51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Department/College-Specific High School Programs
Several 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ colleges and departments have independent arrangements with southern Nevada high schools, which operate separately from the programs housed in the ASC. Listed below is the contact information for these 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ department-specific programs.
Teachers and High School Administrators
To become an eligible 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ concurrent enrollment instructor, a teacher must meet the following requirements:
- Fully Qualified Master's degree in content discipline or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credits in content discipline. Conditionally Qualified Master's outside content discipline, or no master's degree, but has additional qualifying experience. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ academic departments will evaluate on additional criteria.
- CV or professional resume.
- Endorsement from partnering high school principal.
- Completed 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ teacher application.
- Be approved by 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ academic department.
