Graduate work in healthcare administration provides an opportunity to specialize in some of the most burgeoning research in healthcare including healthcare management, finance, and policy reform both in the United States and across the world.

Our faculty in Healthcare Administration have advanced renowned research on topics such as:

  • The correlation between electronic health record adoption and quality and cost of care.
  • The opportunities to promote cross-cultural competency in nursing and bridge the international nursing gap.
  • Innovative strategies for engaging patients with life-limiting illnesses in palliative care.
  • Staffing innovations through hospitalists.

Admissions Requirements

You are encouraged to apply to our Master in Healthcare Administration program if you:

  • Meet Graduate College standards, which can be found under the Graduate College's Admission Requirements
  • AND hold a bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution and have adequate preparation in the biological, physical, or social sciences. You must have received at least a B (3.0) grade point average or the equivalent in work completed after the first two years of a bachelor's degree program and in all post-baccalaureate course work.

  • Fall: April 1
  • Spring: December 1
  • Summer: Students are not admitted to the program during summer semesters
