Once a semester, 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏolunteers sends about 200 students, alumni, faculty, and staff to more than 10 nonprofit organizations throughout the Las Vegas Valley for a day of service and learning about social justice. Participants will get to work with a wide variety of community members, ranging from working on trail building projects in Sloan Canyon to cleaning books for young students in Clark County.
Service Day is typically scheduled to start at 8 a.m., with all participants first meeting at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ to pick up a free Service Day t-shirt and a free light breakfast. After a brief orientation and training, participants will head out to their selected site to provide three hours of community service. Once completed, participants will carpool together back to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ for a free lunch provided by 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏolunteers.
