Graduating from our BSW or MSW Program prepares you to pursue state licensure requirements. Specific requirements for social work licensure vary by state, so you should contact the licensing board for the state in which you intend to practice for details on applying for licensure, including the educational requirements as well as for any specific non-educational work experience or other requirements that may be applicable for the level of licensure you are interested in pursuing.

Educational requirements

The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ School of Social Work has determined that the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ MSW Program meets the educational requirements for state licensure in Nevada as outlined in NRS 641B and NAC 641B.

Non-educational requirements can be found there or at and NAC 641B include the following: age 21 or above; pass the national ASWB exam; provide official transcript for a BSW or MSW degree from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or a candidate for accreditation; submit fingerprints for background check; submit an application and pay a fee; and be of good moral character.
