First-Year Students

All incoming first-year students are required to attend Rebel Ready Week. You’ll be assigned to a group and paired with a Rebel Ready Week leader. Students will complete a variety of large and small group sessions and at least five Rebel Passport Breakout sessions. Students can choose the Rebel Passport Breakout sessions they would like to attend. All students must attend at least one session from each Rebel Ready Week Passport Pillar.

Event Details

College Day

College Day will be on Monday. During your college welcome, you’ll meet your dean, academic advisors, and faculty members in your major. You’ll also meet your college peer mentors and other students in your major. This day is focused on your degree program and the opportunities available in your academic college.

Keynote Sessions

Rebel Ready Week will include three keynote sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The topics are Student Success, Health and Wellness, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice. You’ll hear from 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ faculty, staff, and students who will be integral to your 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ journey.

Closing Sessions

At the end of each day, you'll join your fellow students for closing sessions, where you'll learn more in-depth about the keynote topics. These sessions will allow you to dig deeper into the resources and programs available as a 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ student and build connections with your classmates.
