Latinx/a/o students, faculty, and staff add rich experiences and perspectives to the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ comunidad. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ provides programs, services, and resources to support and celebrate Latinidad as it is an important part of the very fabric that is 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ!

Resources

  • Student Diversity & Social Justice – the office of Student Diversity & Social Justice (SDSJ) was created out of student demand for identity specific support. As such, several identity-based positions were created to serve 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s traditionally underserved students through programs, initiatives, and services.
  • Jean Nidetch CARE Center - provides free and confidential support services to members of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ community who have been impacted by sexual assault, relationship abuse, family violence, and/or stalking.
  • Latinx and Latin American Studies

Affinity Groups

  •  - The Latinx Faculty and Staff Alliance’s mission is to support the Latinx and Hispanic communities on- and off-campus by promoting and advocating for diversity initiatives at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. All 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ academic and administrative faculty members as well as classified staff members are invited to be a part of the alliance. Please check the LFSA website in the future to see who to contact in order to join.
  • Student Affinity Groups - There are numerous registered student organizations on campus where students can get involved.
