Welcome to the Department of Economics in the Lee Business School at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. The discipline of economics studies how to allocate scarce resources to meet unlimited wants. Nearly all public and private issues possess important economic angles. Thus, thinking as an economist provides valuable insights into our complex world. The economics major prepares students for jobs in businesses, financial firms, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations and for advanced degrees in business, economics, law, public administration, and other social sciences. The economics major also complements learning in other areas of business and the liberal arts.

We offer two bachelor’s degrees in economics (BA and BSBA), a minor in economics, a master’s degree in applied economics and a dual degree in mathematics and economics.

There are 15 faculty members in the department, one part-time instructor and one full-time support staff member. There are approximately 120 undergraduate students and 30 graduate students pursuing degrees in economics.
