Radiochemistry professor Frederic Poineau (Chemistry) was recently published in the journal . The article titled, Uranium fluoride micromaterials: a new frontier in nuclear engineering, explores recent advancements in the synthesis and application of uranium fluoride micromaterials, emphasizing their role in the nuclear industry. The article was co-authored by recent 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ graduate Harry Jang, who received his Ph.D. in fall 2024 under the direction of Poineau. The work was performed under the auspices of the Consortium on Nuclear Security Technologies (CONNECT), a five-year award from the Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (DENA0003948).
