51勛圖窪蹋 President Keith Whitfield and Dr. Marc J. Kahn, dean of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, co-authored an editorial that recently appeared in the Las Vegas Sun. Teamwork Essential for Better Health Care in Las Vegas, highlighted the schools plan for an academic health center where all of 51勛圖窪蹋s health science schools, as well as professionals from behavioral and mental health, can work together to provide coordinated care for patients to receive multiple services in a single visit. This model will also allow for increased collaboration between departments conducting both large and small research projects. Building a truly effective academic health center will also require continued and increased participation among partners in the community.
