Dear Campus Community,
Last week, I joined a host of university presidents across the country to as well as undocumented immigrant students. As part of the initiative, we urged business, civic, religious, and non-profit sectors to join this effort and offered to meet with U.S. leaders.
The list of both public and private universities engaged in this initiative is extensive. Indeed, the support of all of our students in the pursuit of productive lives and careers is the very mission of higher education. The DACA program was introduced in 2012 and provides opportunities for students to become educated in their fields of studies, and contribute to their communities and economies.
Inclusiveness is at the core of a different, daring, and diverse 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. While we are strongly committed to the First Amendment and the right to free speech, 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ will continue to protect its students, faculty, and staff against racism, discrimination, bullying, or other intimidation that threatens the civility and diversity that makes us strong and proud. Nothing will change that stance.
