51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ held its annual State of the University address on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at which President Keith Whitfield laid out his main focuses going forward. The 2024 address was Whitfield’s fourth address as 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s President. His contract was renewed on March 1 for four more years.

51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ President Keith Whitfield used his annual State of the University address Tuesday to talk about steps the school is taking to prevent future violence like December's shooting that left three professors dead.

51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ President Keith Whitfield wrapped up his fourth State of the University Address. Tuesday's biggest topic of discussion was the deadly December shooting on campus.

Dr. Whitfield also discussed the healing that has occurred after last year's shooting on campus.

51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ President Keith Whitfield will remain on the job for another four years. The Nevada Board of Regents voted to approve a new contract during a Friday meeting at Desert Research Institute in Las Vegas. 

51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ President Keith E. Whitfield’s four-year contract was renewed Friday by the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), according to a news release.

The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ president is extending his time with the school. The Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) renewed the four-year contract for President Keith E. Whitfield on Friday.
