“One veteran at a time” is how Ross Bryant describes his approach to running 51�ԹϺ���’s Military and Veterans Services Center. But as members of the thriving veteran community of 1,700 on campus attest, he brings far more to his job than just an ability to focus.

The fine arts space soon to be known as the Barrick Museum of Art began life in 1967, even before it was part of the 51�ԹϺ��� campus proper. In 1975, it became the 51�ԹϺ��� Museum of Natural History and moved into the school’s old gym space (hence the presence of cartoon-wolf mascot Beauregard on the gallery floor today). Its first contemporary art exhibit took place in 1986, three years before the Marjorie Barrick part of the name got added.

The series of free workshops in Spanish offered by Prevent Child Abuse Nevada (PCA), include topics such as prevention of child sexual abuse, development of the brain of children from the fetal stage and child stress, this occasion Valeria Gurr, coordinator of PCA Nevada, offered the course, choose your partner or child caregiver carefully.
