University of Nevada, Las Vegas will mark its 50th commencement ceremonies with the graduating class of 2013.

9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - colleges and schools of Law, Fine Arts, Allied Health Sciences, Community Health Sciences, Nursing, Liberal Arts, Sciences, Urban Affairs and the Graduate College
2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. - colleges and schools of Dental Medicine, Business, Education, Engineering, Hotel Administration and the Graduate College

Details
51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's first graduating class, in 1964, had 29 students. Nearly 3,000 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ undergraduate, graduate, and professional students are eligible to participate in this year's spring commencement ceremonies. The grads range in age from 18 to 88. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ graduates represent 38 states and 62 countries.
51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ President Neal Smatresk will honor four during the morning ceremony and five during the afternoon ceremony for their academic and community achievements.
In addition, Smatresk will also recognize William H. "Bob" and Anna L. Bailey and Robert D. Faiss during the morning ceremony and pastor Paul Goulet during the afternoon ceremony as Distinguished Nevadans for their contributions to the community and support of higher education.
At the morning ceremony, an honorary degree will be awarded to Samuel S. Lionel, partner and founder at the law firm Lionel Sawyer & Collins. During the afternoon ceremony, an honorary degree will be awarded to James Christian "Jimmy" Kimmel, a former 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ student and talk show host of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
