Test Strips
The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Wellness Zone has test strips available for fentanyl and xylazine.
Fentanyl test strips allow people who use drugs to know if a substance has been laced with fentanyl, a highly potent synthetic opioid, in an effort to prevent overdose and death.
Xylazine test strips enable drug users to determine if a substance contains xylazine, a veterinary sedative and tranquilizer, aiming to reduce the risk of severe sedation, other health complications, and death.
In addition to the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Wellness Zone, test strips are available at the following locations:
- Student Health Center
- SHC Pharmacy
- Behavioral Health Team
Narcan
Narcan (naloxone) is a life-saving medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdoses. It works by blocking the effects of opioids on the brain, helping restore normal breathing in individuals experiencing an overdose. Narcan is safe, easy to use, and available as a nasal spray or injection. It is an essential tool in combating the opioid crisis and can be administered by anyone in an emergency.
Narcan is also available in the SHC Pharmacy and is provided by the Southern Nevada Health District.
Condom Bar
Our condom bar is free to all 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ students and is located in the front lobby of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Wellness Zone in the SRWC. No questions asked.
We offer a variety of safe sex supplies including:
- External (male) condoms
- Internal (female) condoms
- FDA-approved condoms for anal sex
- Non-latex, classic, magnum, snug-fit, and more
- Personal lubricant
- Flavored latex dental dams
- Instruction pamphlets for effective safe sex supplies usage
Menstrual Pads & Tampons
Period poverty, the lack of access to menstrual hygiene supplies, affects nearly 1 in 10 college students. To support the health & well-being of those who struggle to afford period products, we offer them for free.
Menstrual pads and tampons are available at no cost in the front lobby of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Wellness Zone in the SRWC.
