The research conducted by the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Tourist Safety Institute spans across four areas: safety, events, health, and resiliency. The institute will create new knowledge and develop evidence-based policies and strategies. Our research will help industry leaders and decision makers to prepare, mitigate, and respond to a wide variety of issues within tourist safety.

Working in collaboration with local, state, and federal authorities, as well as industry professionals and community stakeholders, the Tourist Safety Institute collects, analyzes, and disseminates current knowledge and best practices to ensure safe and secure tourist events and experiences.

Las Vegas is known for its large-scale events and exciting entertainment opportunities. Visitors from around the world visit our global destination. Industry professionals and policymakers will need current information to ensure residents and visitors alike are aware of public health conditions.
Resiliency
Nevada’s population is booming. The southwest region is a prime destination for new residents and visitors. The Tourist Safety Institute will provide research-based solutions to government leaders and industry leaders to ensure the physical and organizational systems are in place and functioning to meet the demands and needs of tourists and residents alike.
