To be considered, students must be both admitted to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and submit the or Alternate Need Form by the priority deadline. There is no additional application process. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Tuition+

A need-based program for in-state undergraduate students. In conjunction with 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ scholarships, state and federal aid, it provides most eligible Nevada residents the equivalent of 12-15 credit hours of course fees each semester plus another $1,000 for books for the school year.

  • Stackable: Tuition+ is provided in two parts. One part covers any course fees remaining for most students after federal grants, waivers, third-party payments, state grants, and 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ scholarships, and 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ grants have been paid to the student account, up to the standard cost of 15 credits. The second part provides a stipend directly to students in the amount of $500 in both fall and spring.

Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship (GGMS)

Administered by the Nevada State Treasurer’s Office NVIGATE â€“ A merit-based scholarship available to Nevada high school graduates that pays up to a lifetime total of $10,000. It is allocated per credit hour for up to 15 credit hours each semester. Students receiving the Millennium Scholarship at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ will receive $80 per enrolled credit hour.

President’s Scholarship

A scholarship for eligible incoming first-year students selected as National Merit finalists who have designated 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ as their number one school choice.

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)

WUE offers significant tuition savings, amounting to several thousand dollars per year compared to the standard nonresident rate. WUE students are charged 150% of the in-state tuition rate.

  • FAFSA or Alternate Need Form and Admissions Priority Deadline: To qualify for the WUE scholarship, students must be admitted to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. No special application is required. Students are also strongly encouraged to complete the or to ensure consideration for any additional assistance that may be available.

  • All students must start in the fall semester and enroll in at least 12 credit hours (full-time enrollment) each semester

External Scholarships

External scholarships are available each year from organizations not affiliated with 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. These organizations determine the criteria and deadlines for their scholarship, so read through all information carefully. The best time to apply for external scholarships is at the end of the calendar year before each fall semester. External scholarships are disbursed according to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and the scholarship agency’s guidelines.
