Department Overview
The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery offers top-notch education in medical and surgical management of patients of all ages with diseases and disorders of the ears, nose and throat, which aids in cultivating the newest generation of otolaryngologists/head & neck surgeons. Our faculty physicians offer state-of-the-art care in head and neck oncology, neuro-otology, laryngology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, rhinology, pediatrics, and otolaryngology. Inpatient care is provided at the University Medical Center (UMC) and Sunrise Hospital, while outpatient services are offered at the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Health Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Clinic located in Spring Valley. Our emphasis is on caring for the Las Vegas community and surrounding regions of Southern Nevada while facilitating both clinical and basic science research.
Mission
Our mission is to teach our residents how to deliver quality, culturally sensitive patient care with disorders of the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck, while simultaneously fostering opportunities for innovative research and providing an exceptional medical education. Our department emphasizes patient education, compassionate care, clinical excellence, and the use of the most modern state-of-the-art technologies available to treat the medical and surgical problems within our specialty. We recognize and support the values of diversity and inclusion to better the educational and service climate. We provide tertiary-level care for complex problems in the head and neck. Our principles are personified in the ethical management of services that ensure our patients are cared for in a courteous and respectful manner. We serve the entire Southern Nevada community and surrounding areas to provide care to all, including the underserved. Our trainees continue to practice with these highest standards while becoming leaders and active contributors to our specialty.
