Take Your Child to Work Day

8 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Family Advocacy Committee will provide lunch at Student Union Amphitheater: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The College of Liberal Arts, Early Outreach, and the School of Nursing will host tables in the Student Union Courtyard during lunch.
We will be handing out attendance certificates with the give-a-way bags during lunch, should your child need a letter for school.
Activities
Mindful Movements presented by 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Early Outreach
- 8-8:45 a.m.
- Location: Student Recreation & Wellness Center (RWC) Room 1020
- Everyone feels stress sometimes, even kids. In this session we will learn about stress and how to manage stress through trauma-informed yoga (seated). One of the best ways to help children develop healthy coping skills for big feelings is through modeling so parents are welcome to join as well. Open to children in grades 3-5. No RSVP is required, however the maximum number of attendees is 18.
Get a Future Rebels Card presented by Rebel Card

Chemical Safety for Kids presented by Risk Management and Safety
- 8-11 a.m.
- Location: Next to F&LS demonstration and trailer (the grassy area next to the amphitheater)
- Learn the importance of chemical safety with this activity for kids of all ages. No RSVP required.
Moon and Earth Activity presented by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction
- 8-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.
- Location: Advanced Engineering Building (AEB) Room 150.
- During this activity, children will learn to detect mineral elements for the identification of moon and Earth rocks. Children will measure absorbance at certain wavelengths using a spectrophotometer to note the difference in elemental composition between moon and Earth rocks.

Imagine Your Future with 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Career Services and Workforce Development
- 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
- Location: Gateway Building #200 (across the street from In-N-Out Burger)

Cool Engineering Hands-On Stations presented by the College of Engineering
- 8:30 a.m.-Noon
- Location: AEB 1st floor
- Have fun learning about engineering with hands-on activity stations for kids. Activities are best for ages 6 – 12. No RSVP is required.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Games presented by 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Rebel Recycling
- 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
- Location: RRC
- Reduce, reuse, recycling games and crafts for kids of all ages. No RSVP required.
Judge for a Day presented by the Boyd School of Law
- 9–10 a.m.
- Location: Boyd School of Law – Moot Court Room
- See what a courtroom looks like and take a photo next to civic leaders including Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Snacks, coloring pages, logic problems and brain puzzles will be available for all ages. No RSVP required.
Chef for a Day presented by the College of Hospitality

Design Your Own Garden presented by the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Libraries – Architecture Studies

- Celebrate Landscape Architecture Month and design your own paper garden at the Architecture Studies Library! Create your garden through plants, wildlife, and activity/purpose stations. - The Rebel Rec carnival will include fitness activities, the climbing wall, open swim from 1-3 p.m., arts & crafts, and much more! Bring a towel and swimsuit! Parents will need to be in the pool with their child.

- Location: Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art Xeric Garden and Museum lobby
- All ages and skill levels are invited to this free art-making event held in our sunny Xeric Garden and Museum lobby. Using a variety of fine art materials, kids and adults will create collaborative large scale works of art. Follow your imagination and let your child lead! - Come by the library for our pop-up photo booth. Choose your green screen background and strike your best pose. We will also have a variety of crafts and games available while you wait for your turn in the photo booth. Note: To avoid blending into the background, it is best not to wear green.
