Reimund Serafica (Nursing) is the lead author of the article, "Passive Suicidal Ideations in Older Adults: A Case Report," in the Journal for Nurse Practitioners. Serafica co-published with Timothy Grigsby (Public Health). The article presents the diagnosis and treatment of an older adult with depression and passive suicide ideation (SI).  
Kathleen Thimsen (Nursing) recently presented to the National Clearinghouse on Abuse Later Life (NCALL). Her topic was about elder abuse and clinical identification.
Jinyoung Kim and Hyunhwa "Henna" Lee (both Nursing) were honored among others as the 51ԹϺ 2023-2026 cycle recipients of the Top Tier Doctoral Graduate Research Assistant (TTDGRA) grant competition. Mina Attin and Lisa Nicholas (both Nursing) were accepted for poster presentations at national nursing conferences in 2023. Andrew Thomas Reyes (Nursing) and Chad L. Cross (Public Health) co-authored “Relationships Among Rumination, Resilience, Mindfulness, and Perceived PTSD Symptoms in Military Veterans Returning to College: A Cross-Sectional Study,” which is published in the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services.

Kathleen Thimsen (Nursing) presented at the Nurses Summit on Combatting and Preventing Forced Organ Harvesting, an international group that raises awareness about forced organ harvesting. This was the first summit involving nursing professionals on this issue.
