Welcome to the Aquatics Home Page for Campus Recreational Services! We are located in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center on 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s campus and part of the CRS Membership for students, faculty, staff and community members. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about our facilities or programs.

SRWC Policies for Patrons

A minimum of two lanes are always open for lap swim during our pool hours of operation. SRWC reserves the right to close the pool area without notice. Guests can either bring their own lock and towel or purchase one from the Pro Shop.

How to Sign up for Swimming Lessons

  1. Click on the link under the picture to access our Swim Lesson Interest Form.
  2. Complete the form. Please be sure to include what setting you prefer (private, dual, or group) as well as your preferred lesson days/times.
  3. Your request will be reviewed and you will either A. receive a response asking for more information or B. receive a confirmation email with an instructor pairing. This process generally takes about 5 business days, but can take longer during high volume periods (summer).
  4. Your instructor will reach out to you within 48 hours. They will propose a schedule to accommodate your requested swim lesson package size.
  5. 5. Payment can always be taken at the front desk for swimming lessons. If you are interested in a group swim lesson and you are a current member of the SRWC, you can .
  6. There are a few associated costs with swim lessons at the SRWC:
    1. First, a current membership is required. If you are not a member, you will be directed to sign up at a cost of $40 for community members (51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ staff/student discount available).
    2. Second, there is the cost of lessons, which is as follows:
      • 1 30-minute private lesson for $30
      • 3 for $85
      • 5 for $140
      • 10 for $270
      • 1 30-minute dual lessons (1 instructor, 2 clients) for $40
      • 3 for $115
      • 5 for $190
      • 10 for $365
    3. Third, Parking is not included in lesson cost. The most convenient parking for the SRWC is the Tropicana Parking Garage, which is metered on weekdays until 5 p.m. during the summer. There are free lots available; please visit the Parking site for more information.
  7. Once an instructor has been paired with you and you have paid for the lessons, you can get started! Lessons are 30 minutes long and can be adapted to any type of student- adult, child, infant, beginners, advanced, anyone and everyone!

Facilities

The Natatorium in the SRWC includes:

  • 25-yard, 6-lane lap pool
  • Shallow water leisure pool with vortex
  • 13-person spa
  • Gender inclusive locker room
  • Wet classroom
  • Poolside restroom access
  • Accessibility chair

Guest Passes

All guests may purchase a day pass for $10.00. Guests must be at least 18 years of age, present a valid government issued ID, and complete the guest pass waiver prior to obtaining access. Guests do not need a sponsor in order to purchase a guest pass.

*Guest passes are valid until closing on the day of purchase.

All programs offer something for everyone in the family to enjoy! Below we currently offer:

Group Swim Lessons

(Children ages 6 months to 12 years of age; Adults ages 18 and over)

Group Swim Lessons at the SRWC are for all ages. Our Children's Group Swim Lessons consists of small group classes that are great for families with multiple children. We also offer Parent & Child swim lessons for infants 6 months-5 years of age that need to develop a comfort around the water. All classes are taught to American Red Cross standards. Private Swim Lessons

(for youth and adults.)

Private Lessons are a great way to set individual goals and have one-on-one attention from an instructor. Our certified Water Safety Instructors work within each individual's or partners' schedules to offer the most convenient option for learning to swim or updating your skills. Sessions are 30 minutes in length and for SRWC Members only.

Certification Classes

Our certified instructors offer a range of certification classes, including:

  • Adult CPR, AED, and first aid
  • Lifeguarding
  • Lifeguard training
  • Water safety instructor courses
  • Safety training for swim coaches

Private classes are offered if there are four or more people interested in the class, and all classes are held in the SRWC Wet Classroom.

We offer a wide variety of recurring events and special events throughout the school year! These events include Swimming Workshops, Pool Parties, Aqua Zumba, Battleship, Innertube Water Polo and more! Come in and check out our events!
